The club needs to aggressively recruit depth to cover the injuries that occur during the season given the high impact nature of the game. It will be an important aspect to keep players fit and well - but also recruit durable, hard & tough players that can put some consistent games together.

I am not sure of the practice of playing injured players - if they cannot contribute 100% and play poorly they are just a disadvantage to the team. For example Vickery was supposedly injured most of the 7 games he played this year - basically did nothing but the club comes out and says that they have been managing a shoulder injury??? A tall marking forward playing with a dud shoulder does not make sense?? And most people expect that once you cross the
line, barring injury during the game you give it 100%.

Agree with this
You only have to look at teams like hawthorn and collingwood who have mass depth. Lose a few key playmakers, and they can still slot b graders in to replace them.

I'm off to the snow with demon supporters

Is that a promise?

And if it is can we please have it in writing in the form of a signed contract

And BTW I'll shout you your lift passes
I think we could all pitch in, it's for a worthy cause.

Not sure of the practice of playing injured players? Working terrifically.
Just waiting for Maric to be put in for surgery at end of season after the permanent damage is done.
BTW Vickery is having surgery on BOTH shoulders.
