Jake King in line for Tigers return by: Greg Denham
From: The Australian
July 26, 2012 RICHMOND could get a timely boost for one last crack at finals participation, with experienced forward Jake King set to make a quicker-than-expected comeback from a knee injury.
The Tigers yesterday rated King a 50-50 chance to play against Carlton at the MCG on Saturday night.
The small forward is confident he has recovered from medial ligament damage in his knee and will press for inclusion during training today.
Also in contention, though not as forward in condition as King, is defender Jake Batchelor, who has not played since hurting his knee against Gold Coast in round 16.
King has not played since round 14 and was initially ruled out for at least six games, but he has responded well to treatment and would be a valuable acquisition against a depleted Carlton.
He missed the opening round of the season - when Carlton defeated the Tigers by 44 points - because of suspension.
