Reckon this week will be real quiet WAT, bit more activity next week though.

Lets hope so for next week.

Asked on Wednesday morning if the Pies still had Young in their sights during Gillette AFL Trade Period, Collingwood director of football Geoff Walsh said he considered their player movement finished.

Everything is held up by the FA compensation picks it seems. They need to just have 1 week of FA and 1 week of trade. Be much faster and better.

Highly doubt that.  Campbell didn't choose to leave.  Has been pushed out the door.

Yeah I think is too long, if anything have a week (full 7 days) with an emergency extension period of 4 days if required to finalise deals and paperwork.

WEST Coast midfielder Koby Stevens is set to make a call on where he wants to be traded within the next 24 hours.

Stevens announced his desire for a move back to his home state of Victoria at the start of the Gillette AFL Trade Period, and his manager Ned Guy has confirmed the Western Bulldogs, Essendon and St Kilda are all interested.

Ch 10 news tonight said a deal to trade Tippett to the Swans isn't far away. They claimed the deal is Jesse White plus the Swans' first pick (#22) to Adelaide for Tippett.

Essendon believes it will soon re-sign out-of-contract forward Scott Gumbleton and veteran ruckman David Hille.

The media are claiming the Tippett deal will be done in the next few days. Swan Jesse White who is expected to be part of the trade swap is off to Adelaide for a medical.

Uncontracted Port Adelaide youngster Ben Jacobs intends to nominate North Melbourne as his club of choice.

The Age is saying Port will receive two compo picks for Danyle Pearce and Troy Chaplin but St Kilda, expected to receive a first round choice for Brendon Goddard, is the club others are waiting to deal with.

The Saints have made well known their interest in Gold Coast ruckman Tom Hickey and contracted West Coast defender Mitch Brown. Several other clubs have also expressed interest in Hickey, who hopes to move to Melbourne.

Jesse White as part of the Tippett deal  :o

Why can't we trade our spuds when other teams seem to be able to move theirs on??
And you may not think I care for you
When you know down inside that I really do

I think because the players we were after were free agents and didn't require the trading of any of our Spuds. I'm sure had we gone after someone who was either on contract or a restricted Agent, we would have been trying to sweeten deals with all sorts of options at our disposal.

Spuds from premiership clubs are more appealing then spuds from perennially poo-house clubs.
