I really really really hope we don't go after Knights.
If he is dirt cheap I wouldn't mind him for depth. His stronger body is a point of difference when compared to Nahas/Eddo and could provide a nice bookend to Kingy.....form permitting.

My main knock on him is that he has no room for development left, he is very injury prone and he is a shocking kick of the football.  I would only be happy if he came gratis - then he would be depth as you say.

Ultimate AFL trade and free agency guide

    Staff writers
    From: News Limited newspapers
    August 29, 2012

THE trade and free agency bonanza is just around the corner. Here's how your club stands, who you might gain and who's up for grabs.

News Limited's expert footy writers provide the lowdown on what to expect when the trade period kicks off two days after the Grand Final.

Who do you want your club to chase - and who are you scared of losing? Chat live with Jay Clark from noon AEST or leave a comment below.

RICHMOND

List changes: A few already. Brad Miller and Kel Moore have retired, Dan Connors is gone and Dean McDonald took indefinite personal leave early in the season. Rookie John Heslin has returned to Ireland.

Free agents: Brett Deledio (signed), Nathan Foley (signed), Luke McGuane (restricted), Shane Tuck (unrestricted), Kel More (retired)

On the move? The rumour mill has Matt White asking his manager to shop him around. There could be some interest in McGuane as a tall who can play either end. Shane Tuck is waiting on a new deal but Damien Hardwick said last week he's a required player.

Market moves: Tigers list analyst Blair Hartley, the man responsible for recruiting Bachar Houli, Shaun Grigg and Ivan Maric, set his sights months ago on Port Adelaide defender Troy Chaplin. The Tigers have expertly landed players to fill specific needs in recent years and this year that need is a gorilla to take the big forwards and free up Alex Rance. Chaplin reportedly has a four-year offer is on the table. Adelaide's Chris Knights is also a hot tip to head to Punt Rd and don't rule out free agent Jordan Russell following former Carlton teammate Grigg to Tigerland. Meanwhile, the Tigers are interested onlookers in the Travis Cloke saga.

Safe: Foley signed a new three-year deal yesterday. The big names are all locked away after Brett Deledio signed a five-year contract in March. Ty Vickery has signed until the end of 2014 while Trent Cotchin, Dustin Martin and Jack Riewoldt are all contracted until at least the end of the 2013 season.

You have to laugh about Matt White asking his manager to look around
Another case of his aspirations not in line with his ability

I don't see it that way, i see it as him knowing that the writing is on the wall. He just doesn't want to wait to be delisted before looking elsewhere or hope for the best. He knows he's a goner.

Dont agree Jack, kid knows he might be going or if he does stay may not get much game time.
I Dont blame him for shopping around, would rather see him play at another club that languish in Noburg with KICP etc.

Jordan Russell  :shh peeps been reading this forum  :lol

Doesnt mention anything about potential midfielders yet  :-\

Perhaps it's just another case of the media making up a story to reel in supporters  :whistle  ;) ;D

Seriously, how does anyone know if he has asked his manager "to shop him around" we don't
