ADELAIDE power forward Kurt Tippett looks set to continue his blossoming AFL career on the Gold Coast from next year.

It now looks certain the big Crow will move to the two-year old Suns after five seasons with the Crows.

Tippett, 25, has postponed contract talks with Adelaide management as expectations intensify that the big forward will head back to his home state of Queensland.

Brisbane and Gold Coast are both in the market to win Tippett’s services.

But it is understood the Suns are virtually assured of winning his signature on a lucrative deal.

Tippett’s move is highly unlikely to be confirmed and certainly not announced by Adelaide or the Suns until after the Crows finals campaign next month.

Crows coach Brenton Sanderson has already stated that even if Tippett revealed his intention to leave, the big goal-scoring force would play a vital role up forward in the Crows premiership quest over the next month.

He has played 100 Crows games and booted 182 goals since he was selected as a second round pick and number 32 overall at the 2006 national draft.   

Tippett’s imminent departure from the Crows is a vital step in pending decisions on a host of big forwards or ruckmen awaiting to confirm moves or to accept contract offers from existing clubs.

Collingwood powerhouse Travis Cloke remains the biggest sticking point for several sought after utility players.

Cloke, 25, has stalled his contract talks with Pies management and remains a certain potential recruiting coup for Carlton and Richmond, as well as even the Crows with a final confirmation that Tippett will walk out.

Cloke’s Magpies premiership teammate Tyson Goldsack and injury ravaged big Essendon forward Scott Gumbleton are two exciting young stars out of contract at the end of the season and understood to be top priority targets for a host of clubs.

West Coast 2006 premiership big man Quinten Lynch is also out of contract and a potential target for eastern seaboard clubs if he fails to come to terms on a new deal.

Lynch, 29, received a public assurance from Eagles coach John Worsfold this week he remained a key component to this year’s finals campaign despite being dropped for West Coast’s strong win over Collingwood in Perth with the return of key forward Josh Kennedy after a four-month injury layoff.

Gumbleton, Goldsack and Lynch are expected to become a prime big forward and back-up ruck targets once more firm indication emerges from Tippett and Cloke with their intentions.
