Classic Melbourne lol:

They have delisted Lucas Cook... Was Pick 12 two years ago and is a KP forward.. How on earth can you delist a KP kid after 2 seasons lol. He had some handy games in the VFL. Think he kicked 2 bags of 4 in a row and was close to a 1s call up..
Rumour has it Jordan Gysberts looks like he wants out of Melbourne as well. Another first rounder gone from the Dees if that's true and from the 2009 draft they would have lost two of their first 3 first round picks with Scully walking out last year (Both pick 1 and pick 11 gonski!). Who would have thought Jordan McMahon's after the siren goal could do so much damage  ;D.

Ox mentioned this evening that he feels the Dees might be the most aggressive of all clubs during the trade period.i guess you have to give up something of value to try and entice quality

Update: Pettard being "sounded out" by Carlton, Cook has interest from "9 clubs" Geelong and North are the only known teams.

There's also the rumour doing the rounds on the Essendon forums of a swap of Bellchambers for Wellingham.

Know something rogerd3?

Pettard needs a stronger defensive side as a forward.

Free agency: Where your club stands
By Adam Jones, Ben Hocking and Michael Rogers
Source: BigPond Sport
Thursday, September 06, 2012

AFL LOWDOWN: We analyse the position of all 18 clubs as the AFL heads into its first free agency period...

RICHMOND

Restricted: Luke McGuane
Unrestricted: Shane Tuck

Who they could lose: Tuck has almost certainly played himself into a new deal at Punt Rd, having been declared a "required player" by Damien Hardwick. McGuane's status is less certain, and the 25-year-old may attract interest from rival clubs looking for a versatile tall.

What they need: The Tigers are on the lookout for more experience this off-season with Troy Chaplin, Chris Knights and Jordan Russell all in the mix. Key defender Chaplin is already packing his bags for Tigerland if persistent rumours are to be believed, while Russell would fit right in alongside ex-Blues teammate Shaun Grigg.

ADELAIDE

Unrestricted: Chris Knights

Who they could lose: Knights has only played five games this year and would benefit from a move elsewhere. Melbourne and Richmond are both believed to have shown interest in the 25-year-old Victorian.

PORT ADELAIDE

Restricted: Troy Chaplin

Who they could lose: Chaplin has reportedly been offered a four-year deal by Richmond.
