Where your club stands on trades and free agency From: Herald Sun
October 01, 2012 10:41AMRICHMONDContinues to follow the Sydney recycle route with deals for Port's Chaplin and Adelaide's Chris Knights all but done. Power's Matt Thomas also in mix. Luke McGuane will be signed up but is a free agent. Dogs may help Tigers deal for Tyson.
ADELAIDEChris Knights is gone and will be a Tiger before the week is out. Kurt Tippett is on the Gold Coast this weekend deciding his future, despite the Crows deal being better than those of the Queensland clubs. Luke Thompson will sign soon.
BRISBANEDesperate to lure Tippett to Brisbane to fi ll the hole left by Mitch Clark. Decision due midweek. Patrick Karnezis is contracted but wants to get back to Victoria. Keen on 17-year-old GWS-aligned midfielder Jack Martin.
CARLTONWants Quinten Lynch. Will get meagre compensation picks for Jordan Russell, who should fi nd a home, and Bret Thornton, who might not. Robert Warnock not going anywhere, Blues say.
COLLINGWOODLikely to lose Sharrod Wellingham, so Jon Giles is in the mix, as is free agent Jared Rivers. Cameron Wood is in trouble.
ESSENDONWill get Brendon Goddard in free agency triumph. Linked to Brent Moloney. Scott Gumbleton is one of a raft of players offered only one-year deals as they clear salary cap space. Won't get Josh Caddy. Could lose Angus Monfries to Port.
FREMANTLECould get rid of either Jon Griffin or Zac Clarke. Interested in Gumbleton. Could swoop late for Wellingham.
GEELONGIn box seat for Caddy, has spoken to Rivers and keen on North Melbourne ruckman Hamish McIntosh. Shannon
Byrnes will leave for Melbourne.
GOLD COASTWould love Kurt Tippett but unlikely to part with pick No.2 for him. Caddy is on the way out. Young ruckman Tom Hickey wanted by St Kilda. Mav Weller linked to Hawthorn.
GWSDesperate for a key defender but the cap room is kept for the kids. Jon Giles is unsigned and wants $300,000.
HAWTHORNAlways keeps its players in this period. Tom Murphy unsigned but wants to stay. Clinton Young is a free agent who will attract interest. Would the Hawks make a play for Rivers? Salary cap tight.
KANGAROOSGoing all-out for Caddy, but Cats have a better pick to trade. McIntosh might fi nd his way to Geelong. Collingwood and Melbourne interested in Cam Pedersen. Majak Daw will be elevated to senior list. Set to keep Levi Greenwood.
MELBOURNEHas cash but long odds to land big fish. Keen on leg speed and strong on Cat Shannon Byrnes. Pedersen could be a bargain. Moloney and Rivers set Aaron Davey is contracted. Martin and Jordan Gysberts are signed but could go. Lucas Cook is looking for a new home.
PORT ADELAIDEHunting Essendon's Monfries and may offer four-year $1.6 million deal. Going lose Troy Chaplin.
First round draft pick Ben Jacobs wants to return to Victoria. Matt Thomas looking for Melbourne options. David
Rodan, Steve Salopek, Danyle Pearce all had names thrown around.
ST KILDABrendon Goddard bound for Essendon. Jamie Cripps has ticket to West Coast. On the lookout for tall defenders
including West Coast's Mitch Brown and Melbourne's Rivers. Also sniffing around Gold Coast ruck Tom Hickey.
SYDNEYNo interest in Brent Moloney. Already has plenty of young kids so will only top up. There won't be massive changes given it has had 33 list changes in the past three years.
WEST COASTKeen to get Pie Wellingham, who is in Perth this week. Lynch is out and possibly headed to Carlton. Hard-nut onballer Koby Stevens also wants a new home.
WESTERN BULLDOGSWould love to get Caddy but well down the list. Another Sun, Josh Toy, a chance. Focusing on draft.
