AFL Trade Rumours ‏@Afltrade twitter:

"Carlton have apparently put a massive offer in front of Gold Coast for Josh Caddy. Rumors say the offer is Rob Warnock pick 11 and 33."

Melbourne is optimistic is can secure dual Geelong premiership player Shannon Byrnes.

Wouldn't think GC would go for it. Have plenty of rucks and need to downsize their list so its not the right trade. Probably decent value, but might need a 3rd party with a high first round pick to get it done.

If GC get that for Caddy I will be stunned.  Would think pick 11 by itself would do.  He's not Gary Ablett for gods sake!!!!

I did, and do, have solid mail that Post thinks (or as at R23 thought) that he would be at Brisbane next year

No mail on Karnezis

St Kilda will make a bid for Gold Coast’s Josh Caddy and West Coast defender Mitch Brown in an effort to turn loss into gain.

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/st-kildas-turn-to-go-shopping-20121002-26xgg.html

Shannon Byrnes is a step closer to joining Melbourne after touring the club's facilities yesterday.

North Melbourne's Cameron Pedersen, a 193cm key-position player, is also on the Dees' radar as they hunt experienced players.

The Magpies are not understood to be in the market for Kurt Tippett, who has told Adelaide he wants a trade. Sydney has made a play for the versatile ruck-forward as well as Gold Coast and the Brisbane Lions, with the Suns remaining the most likely home for the player who grew up on the Gold Coast.

Chris Dawes is under contract for the next two years with the Magpies but could seek a move — Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs have already expressed interest in him — if it was felt Lynch was brought in to squeeze him out.

MELBOURNE has confirmed its interest in Collingwood key forward Chris Dawes.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/149034/default.aspx

Apparently Gold Coast are offering Kurt Tippett a 5-year deal worth $3.5 million.

Emma Quayle ‏@emmasq twitter: "Josh Caddy's happy to join St Kilda, Geelong or North, will just depend on who gets the deal done. The Cats' compensation pick will appeal."

RUMOUR: Adelaide and Collingwood are the frontrunners to secure GWS player Jonathan Giles, it's excepted however he will land at Adelaide next week.
