I hope we get to play the Dogs and the Demons twice next year.  :pray

16 premiership points and percentage in the bag!  :clapping

Then if we add vs GC in Cairns that makes 20 easy points.  Finals, here we come!!   :whistle

Considering where the Dog's list is, it's not a horrible deal. Lake is 31, they get rid of him and get another first round pick and a later 2nd round pick. Leaves them with:

5, 6, 21, 41, 46, 47.

Agree. The Lake has run dry.

Good play Dogs.

Maybe we can now trade Postie to the Dogs as they'll now need another tall defender  ;D.

Hawks trading their future away for a flag in the next two years. 29+ next year - Mitchell, Sewell, Hodge, Burgoyne, Guerra, Gibson, Lake, Hale ....... tick tick tick. If it doesn't pay off hello cliff face :yep.

Spot on. Hawks going all out for a premiership next year or year after

McIntosh and Rivers to Geelong deals to be wrapped up this week.  Word is Geelong will trade pick 36 to North for McIntosh.

Caddy trade could go on for ages. Gold Coast talking to the Cats and North.

St Kilda is hoping to secure West Coast defender Mitch Brown by offering homesick youngster Jamie Cripps to the Eagles.

Pick 21 and 41 from Hawthorn to Footscray for Lake and pick 27.

Considering where the Dog's list is, it's not a horrible deal. Lake is 31, they get rid of him and get another first round pick and a later 2nd round pick. Leaves them with:

5, 6, 21, 41, 46, 47.

The Lake trade is winner for the dogs, 3 first round draft picks.

Pick 21 is Hawthorn's 1st round pick.

Listening to Lake's manager on SEN driving home, it was pretty clear Lake was going to walk under FA next year. Better to lock in decent picks rather than waiting on the AFL to decide what he is worth  ;D

Maybe we can now trade Postie to the Dogs as they'll now need another tall defender  ;D.

Geoff Walsh from Collingwood has confirmed Melbourne have offered national draft pick 4 for Wellingham and Dawes.

Thats amazing, the Pies should be rubbing their hands together, geezus they always end up with bloody good deals, if this comes off it would be just about the best deal of the free aganency period, other than Tippett.

How do you know, it hasnt been done?

Carlton has expressed interest in Collingwood's Chris Dawes, Essendon's Scott Gumbleton and Port Adelaide defender Matt Thomas.

Up to five clubs are believed to have expressed interest in Gumbleton.

Jordan Gysberts is likely to make his way to Geelong later in the trade period, possibly for a second-round pick.

Both the Bombers and Western Bulldogs have some interest in out-of-contract West Coast midfielder Koby Stevens but are looking to spend no more than a third-round choice.

Gold Coast are eyeing off Hawthorn premiership player Stephen Gilham. The Suns will trade for players such as Josh Caddy and Josh Toy, and Gilham's name has emerged as a potential target.

SYDNEY needs a trade partner to snare defecting Crows forward Kurt Tippett as Adelaide stands firm the Queenslander will cost much more than a second-round draft pick. The Swans already know Adelaide's needs - a key defender or a key forward. This puts Sydney premiership duo Sam Reid and Norwood draftee Heath Grundy on Adelaide's wishlist. Sydney chief executive Andrew Ireland has not ruled out the Swans parting with a premiership player if that is what is required to secure a deal this trade period.

GEELONG and North Melbourne are still haggling over the pick to be swapped for Roos ruckman Hamish McIntosh. North wants Geelong's second-round pick (36), but the Cats are hoping their third-round selection will be enough.

BOTH clubs, as well as St Kilda, lead the race for Victoria-bound Gold Coast midfielder Josh Caddy, with Geelong's compensation pick for Gary Ablett of interest to the Suns. This compensation would appeal to the Suns because they can hold off on using it until 2014. The Suns alarmed all three clubs yesterday by insisting they would require two first-round draft picks for the out-of-contract midfielder. All three clubs have said they would not trade two picks for him.

The Saints are also interested in Gold Coast ruckman Tom Hickey, but have been told their second-round draft pick offer is insufficient and the Suns want a first-round pick for him.

MELBOURNE, which secured father-son pick Jack Viney and still managed to keep the prized pick No.3, said Collingwood forward Chris Dawes was still a possibility to join the Demons.

MAGPIE Sharrod Wellingham also has been linked to Melbourne, but wants only to move back to Perth and join West Coast.

GWS could yet own the first three picks in November's draft if a deal with Melbourne for pre-listed 17-year-old Jesse Hogan is agreed.

PORT Adelaide has shown some interest in Carlton's Jordan Russell and Melbourne's Jared Rivers, who is also on Geelong's radar.

ST KILDA is keen on securing Eagles defender Mitch Brown in a deal that could involve homesick midfielder Jamie Cripps.

GIANTS ruckman Jonathan Giles is in strong demand from clubs including Collingwood and Adelaide.

On BF's trading board late last night, a Swans fan was talking about us being a 3rd party involved in the Tippett trade.

Luke Parker + pick 22 ----> Richmond
Tippett ----> Sydney
pick 9 ----> Adelaide

I don't see us doing that.

A Tigers man added GWS into the trade so we could get Tyson  ;D

Luke Parker + pick 22 + Nahas? ----> GWS
Tippett ----> Sydney
pick 9 ----> Adelaide
Tyson -----> Richmond

It would be nice but wishful thinking me thinks.

Would anyone entertain swapping pick 9 to GWS for picks 12 and 20?
