According to Barrett, Dawes will make his decision in the next 2-3 hours. Out of 3 clubs - Melbourne, Bulldogs and a late surge by Brisbane. Carlton is out of it.

We need to be doing our best to somehow upgrade or picks. We should be looking to package up picks 29 and 31 with players like Gus, McG, Nahas, White ect for picks in the early to mid 20's. Someone Get it Done :clapping

Remember last year. Gillies from Geelong sounded like the next Steven Silvagni. Us and the Hawks were apparently interested in him, but the Cats kept him.

Now they expect him to be delisted.

Trade period becoming a Collingwood charity. The Pies will end up with picks 17, 18 and 20.

Just on trade week. The AFL decided not to allocate the discretionary (priority) pick this year. Surely after holding the worst Finals record over the last 30 years we deserve something back from the AFL  >:(

"Under current AFL rules, enacted from the 2012 season onwards, a club can receive a priority draft pick at the discretion of the AFL Commission. The Commission has flagged that a formula which will assist with determining whether or not a team receives a priority draft pick, and at which round in the draft that pick will be taken, is yet to be established, but that it will take into account quantitative measures, including a club’s premiership points over a period of years (with greater weight to recent seasons), its percentage over a period of years as another indication of on-field competitiveness (with greater weight to recent seasons), any finals appearances in recent seasons, any premierships in recent seasons and club injury rates in each relevant season. "

All quiet on the Tiger front it seems ....

The state of play
By Ashley Browne

RICHMOND: Chaplin and Chris Knights arrived early via free agency and that has been that as far as trade and free agency are concerned. Bigger is that while receiving an award at the Sport Australian Hall of Fame dinner on Thursday night, Richmond board member Malcolm Speed predicted back to back flags for the Tigers in 2014 and 2015. Before Tiger fans get too giddy, this is the same bloke who in about 1990, predicted that basketball would be the No.1 sport in the country by the turn of the century. How did that one go?

The afl site's article also says out of names not mentioned in the media before that Freo's Greg Broughton has been discussed in trade talks.
