No point giving a handball out the back if you don't follow it up with good block.

McGuane is ruining the Miller legacy. McGuane is the dumbest forward I have seen since....ever. Flying for kicks directed at Jack, u-turns, doesn't give the hands. At least he chases and kicks the odd goal but work needs to be done with where he leads and positions himself

St Kilda has finally completed a trade for young Gold Coast ruckman Tom Hickey after agreeing to part with its first round pick, No. 13.

The deal, which has yet to be officially lodged with the AFL, also involves a swap of later picks, with the Saints receiving picks No.26 and 47 and the Suns receiving 37 and 57.

Negotiations involving Kurt Tippett (Adelaide), Ben Jacobs (Port), Mitch Brown (West Coast) Koby Stevens (West Coast), Cameron Pedersen (North Melbourne) and Jamie Cripps (St Kilda) remained unresolved.

The Kangaroos have made inquiries about Gold Coast half-back Taylor Hine.

It's basically just a big log jam.  Clubs are having a Mexican standoff, waiting for each other to make the first move.  With the Hickey trade getting done, I think we'll see a rush of trades tomorrow.  Expect Port to have a few trades.

The AFL won't be happy.

ADELAIDE has confessed to the AFL that it forged a secret arrangement to send Kurt Tippett to the club of his choice when it last re-signed him, a deal that could amount to draft tampering and see the club face major sanctions
