The Saints have moved to negotiate a trade of a late pick for Sydney small forward
Trent Dennis-Lane.
Melbourne is still trying to find a pick to be able to trade to St Kilda for
Farren Ray, who is still in contract and the Saints are happy to keep. If Melbourne ruck-forward
Stefan Martin were to be traded to Brisbane, the Demons would try to include that pick in a trade to St Kilda.
The Demons have agreed to trade former No. 4 draft pick
Cale Morton to West Coast for pick 88. Morton was still in contract at Melbourne and the Demons are prepared to absorb some of his contract for next year at the Eagles.
Melbourne is likely to finally complete a deal today for key position player
Cameron Pedersen from North Melbourne, in an exchange for midfielder
Jordan Gysberts. North had been trying to tie the exchange of Pedersen into a trade for
Ben Jacobs from Port but Melbourne has no player or draft pick that could be passed on to Port that would satisfy the Power.
