is it a case of people still reluctant to become reserved seated members
because of lack of success?

this is what the membership dept need to be trained in,  upselling these
to our supporter base.

mind you doesnt the bombers only have reserved seating albeit capped.

has nothing to do with success our home ground is the MCG people don't need to have a reserve seat

Our membership revenue would be down because I reckon you will fine that we haven't been making a big margin om reserve seat sales. think they've addressed that for 2013 with the increase in the prices for seats on level 2

Our figure in the table doesn't come from our annual report but from the figure Gary March quoted in an article on the RFC website. According to RFCO that figure is our net membership revenue.

WP, does the full annual report mention what our membership revenue was?

I cannot understand why hawthorn is so far ahead of us ,and ahead of carlton and Essendon for that matter.Sure they have had huge success over the last 20 odd years ,but i always thought we had them covered for supporters.Other than the dogs and cats story is there a reason why they seem to be doing so well in the membership stakes?

Bandwagoners

If we won a flag we'll get 80,000 members. They haven't and won't. 60-65k is max for them. If we're in the 8 next year we'll get more than them. There's a pooload more Richmond supporters than Hawthorn supporters. They're a medium sized club riding the success wave. Richmond is a huge club that will explode if successfull.

They have also had a sustained period of success for 30 odd years.  Now their support is generational like ours so it's only natural they have a bigger support base than they used to.  Passion on the other hand, is a different story.

Plus they've picked up quite a few members down in Tassie (about 10K for memory) and that 4 game mebership is counted in their total memberships
