2013 Membership - THE ROAR IS BACK

Would think we will hit 54-55k by weeks end

The big issue for our club isnt the membership numbers its the AFLs plans for Punt Road. This could be the biggest issue weve faced in years.

Why?
If its the work required to get it to AFL standard, the surface should be fine, if its the grandstands and facilities - they build around grounds all the time and continue to play sport.
If its actual games being played there, unless the AFL want us to move training - what's the difference? They are only planning 8 games so we should be able train when we want and how we want.

Of course if any of the above areas are compromised, it is an issue as we should have an iron clad agreement to train there

We're still 6000 ahead of this time last year. So 60k is still achievable. Membership growth slowed significantly last year after our round 1 loss. It won't this year now we've finally won a round 1 game.
