We cannot take Toy in the Nat Draft because he hasn't nominated - simple really

So how can toy go to a club?

If two clubs want him.as a delisted free agent does he choose?

So, during the next free agency period would we have any concerns that another team may pay more and give him a longer contract and therefore take him before us? Do we need to delist another player to obtain him or are we just passing with our last ND pick and using it on him instead? Are we even interested?

He can go wherever he wants to go as a free agent.

I think it was covered off elsewhere, with 4 picks in the ND it will take Senior list to 38 players. We only have the 2 Rookies listed right now, and the list can go up to 44 (With any combination of 38 and 6 rookies, 39 and 5 rookies, 40 and 4 rookies).

i doubt we have concerns that someone else will offer him more. we will most probably offer what we think he is worth and if we are trumped so be it. they would have other options in mind.

the advantage of going free agency over drafting is we can offer a one year contract rather than the compulsory two for draftees

It's also possible since he is training with us, we told him not to nominate on the premise we will sign him as free agent. Takes the risk of letting him slide out of the equation.

Emma Quayle saying 10 clubs out of the 18 have said "no" to drafting Dayle Garlett. She didn't have him in her top 25 list in the Age because of his off-field issues she's been told about which she said she wouldn't elaborate on. Given we have publicly said "good character" is an important criteria now with our recruiting, I'm guessing we are one of those 10 clubs that have said no.
