Gieschen outlines the meeting he had with Richmond about Greater Western Sydney youngster Dom Tyson. The Victorian was a mad Tigers fan as a kid.

The potential trade was discussed in-house and they realised they couldn't guarantee a deal would get done, so it was knocked on the head.

Tyson is happy at the Giants. The No.3 draft pick is out of contract at the end of next year.

GWS banned Tyson from speaking to Richmond players on social media.  They know he's going home next year and we know they have him when we have a big chance when he's uncontracted.  We're willing to give up our first rounder and a player.

Got some pleasing news from a bloke I go to the footy with regularly. He and I have grown up in the same area as Dom and my friend is the same age as him. Anyway, one of his friends is close mates with Dom and according to him Dom is very homesick and still dead keen on coming to the tiges. He will see out his contract at GWS and then promptly GTFO of there.
Sounds like Dom will be playing for his beloved tiges in 2014.  :thumbsup
