The powerfully-built 185cm, 92kg full-forward joined Richmond at the end of 1971, after being cleared by Carlton, where he’d managed only 19 games in half a dozen years.

No.12: Michael Gale

After playing just over 100 games for Fitzroy, from 1985-1993, Gale was traded to the Tigers, along with Lion teammates Paul Broderick and Matthew Dundas, in exchange for Richmond captain Jeff Hogg.

I'll never forget him kicking the ball 50m the wrong way in the 1995 Prelim against the Cats.
