RFC should after careful thought, consideration and consultation with all key stakeholders - reluctantly accept & sign immediately.   :clapping

I recall hearing we were going to use only 4 picks in the ND and we were hoping these were inside the top 40.

If we get 40 for Graham, that gives us 9, 29, 31 and 40 inside the top 40.

If we get 12 and 13 for 9, we have 5 picks inside 40.

40 would be too valuable to waste, maybe we would trade one of 29, 31 or 40 if this did happen.

And you may not think I care for you

Or maybe just delist another dud like White or Jackson ;D

Just had an idea.

Pick 9 for 12 and 13.

Pick 12 for Collingwoods 17 and 18.

We then have 13, 17, 18, 29, 31 and 40  ;D

With St Kilda get pick 13 as compensation for losing Goddard, if this trade were to go through it would be pick 9 for picks 12 & 14.

Does that make a difference to your thoughts?

Yes my thoughts are I don't like compensation picks interferring with our draft order

In a heartbeat I'd do that.

We could delist a few duds and use 5 picks in the Draft.

Move Newman onto the vets list and see what is available in the PSD.

Any pick inside the top 40 can be a good player and ought to be AFL standard at the least.  Paul Chapman went at 31 but McGuane went at 36. I'd take the trade in a heartbeat and hope we don't stuff it up.  This could be the making of Hardwicks time at Richmond.

I've got a feeling we're done. Hartley said we'll only be using 4 picks so if there was a real chance of this happening then why would we have bothered upgrading pick 50 to pick 40. Likewise GWS would only agree to such a trade if they planned to use just four picks themselves. They seem more interested in willing to trade out picks for senior AFL experienced players to play alongside their kids rather than just swapping picks.

It's not GWS that are interested in Jackson ;)
