Jack on AFL360 last night said Floss told him that he hit the shoulder of Connor West. West also said he was hit in the shoulder.

If so then why would he accept the suspension?
I'm presuming the contact was shoulder first before slipping higher into the head. Doing it off the ball means he was a goner. It was a dumb selfish act by a senior player who should know better.

I would drop him to make a statement. Poor year by a quality player.

Any updates on how Floss is? Didn't look good. Seemed to have broken ribs  :-\

I feel like if there was any concern of broken ribs then he’d be straight off to hospital with an injury like that?

According to dimma as presser he will most likely miss next week.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Richmond interceptor Nick Vlastuin could miss next week's must-win clash against Hawthorn with rib damage.

The tough defender was the victim of a Charlie Dixon knee to the side in a marking contest, and was subbed out of the Tigers' 38-point win, but did not need to go to hospital and watched the remainder of the game from the bench.

"He's probably doubtful, we suspect he has some form of rib damage," coach Damien Hardwick said.

"But once we know, you'll know. I'd say he's incredibly doubtful for next week."

Just watching the reply and honestly Dixon should be reported for that. Didn't get anywhere near touching the ball and clearly jumped knee first into Vlastuins ribs causing injury.

And he looked first before jumping into him
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

And he's got away with it.

Going by last night's MRO statement it would appear it wasn't even looked at

Yeah what a surprise Salty Karen Cornes didn't point that one out yesterday!

Absolutely should have been reported.  It was a deliberate knee and had no intention of trying to mark the ball

Hopefully the lack of news is a good sign, but I’m not sure.

I could be way off the mark but I don’t think it would be anything more than a short term injury. I think with rib related injuries they wouldn’t have let him fly back with the rest of the team.

RICHMOND are waiting on the results of scans on defender Nick Vlastuin after he was subbed out of the win over Port Adelaide.

Vlastuin sustained rib damage in a collision with Charlie Dixon, with Richmond coach Damien Hardwick conceding it is unlikely the important defender will be fit to take on the Hawks on Sunday.

He could also be in doubt to face Essendon in Round 23.

Floss listed as "questionable" for this week. Touchwood that means no broken ribs and he will only miss the one game :pray.
