I don't think we'll risk him this week. Give him the week off for his body to fully recover.

Exactly

Nick Vlastuin is about to achieve what no other Richmond player has since before World War 2.

The triple Tiger premiership star defender will play in an eighth finals series within the first 10 years of his AFL career.

That’s something even Richmond royalty such as Kevin Bartlett, Francis Bourke, Royce Hart, Dick Clay and Michael Green could not manage throughout their time at Tigerland.

Has missed 25-50% of the season in each of the last 3 years. Only injuries keeping him out.

Has had an interrupted season with injury but we really need him to step up these finals. Need his intercept marking especially against the talls from Brisbane.

He’s a Tiger immortal already but 2022 hasn’t been his best year. Made some bad mistakes in our back 50, given away some silly frees and needlessly suspended when we could least afford it. Is absolutely critical in that back 50 Thursday night, some intercept marks and pin point kicks to trampoline the ball back from our D50 will go a long way to us winning….
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Looking for positives. I thought Floss was one of our best across the night. While his teammates were fumbling and sloppy, he was mostly clean and assured. Saved a few goals too with his desperate spoils and 11 intercepts. The best goal saving play was against Neale in the 3rd qtr.

1. Nick Vlastuin

Awesome in defence. Had the match-up early on Eric Hipwood but rotated through a few Tigers forwards and got free as much as possible. Was the No.1 intercept player on the ground. Pulled off a terrific spoil in the third term that led to a Richmond forward foray and Tom Lynch goal. Marked the ball strongly and was efficient by foot.

Not much being said this year about Vlastuin. He has fallen off a cliff. Horribly out of any type of form and his kicking is woeful

I would consider this but it will never happen.
