(These Watchers could have been extraterrestrials). Two-hundred Watchers had broken their vow to God, (“the most Holy, High and Great One”), by taking bodily form to have sex with humans.
Once on Earth the fallen, watching angels, (who it seems could shape-shift), became increasing vile. They had sex with animals, (including birds), drank blood, ate humans and taught mankind things they’d been forbidden to. (Which would explain, among other things, how civilizations had been able to do some of the mindblowing things they had thousands of years ago, like cut and lift 1,000-ton blocks, chart planets and build pyramids).
Human offspring of the fallen angels became giants, (Nephilim, “those who came down”), or even monsters. It had been the corruption caused by these former angels (or evil extraterrestrials), that provoked the Biblical flood, to wipe them and their influence off the face of the planet.
