By that i mean someone who just reviewed other clubs lists and studied who was coming out of contract etc rather than just throwing the resources at looking at kids. A really good example is Jolly IMHO, they targetted him knowing he wanted to come back to Melb and they got him

I think it is an area we've addressed since Hartley's been with us, and we are seeing the rewards of it with the recruitment of Houli, Grigg and now Chaplin, Knights etc

Development. No doubt we recruited some good juniors over the years...pity they had to go through the Spud & Wallet development academy. Not many graduated.

Just on Ball they reckon he is the running to be the pies captain.

Remarkable story. Not highly regarded by Rossy but walks into a better club and becomes captain. Nicky Maxwell must be doing some unreal favours for the boys to get their votes each year. Personally I like Swanny. Just rocks up and gets 40 every week
