Not all the footy journos want the 2012 Brownlow awarded to Cotch & Mitchell.

Only in a zero sum view of footy must Watson's medal go elsewhere. More apt that it is deemed "no award". Hope Mitchell, Cotchin see it so.

If it is awarded to them then it is history.

Whether they go to an award ceremony that is another matter.

It should possibly be a decision made at club level?

If it were a "zero sum view" then that would imply the medal is being transferred from one legitimate player(s) to another legitimate player(s). This is not the case. Two legitimate players who played by the rules were denied the game's best & fairest medal due to another club later on being found guilty of juicing up its players that season. This is about rectifying a wrong.

Hardly Cotchins fault.
He's the one that's been robbed.

Surely we are due to hear from Mrs Cotchin on this issue?
Afl to ask the wives of Mitchell and Cotchin to make submissions?

Women don't belong in the AFL, don't you understand ::). That includes showing support for their husbands

Call me old fashioned, but when, for example, I call a plumber, I want advice from the plumber about the issue, not the plumbers partner.

If there's an issue with a family members health, I want to hear from the doctor, not the doctors partner.

Cotch's partner has no role to play in talking important specifics about our football club.

Talking important specifics about our football club? You may need to refresh my memory on what she said because I don't remember anything of the sort.

He can't get the medal unless he is a "great guy"...

How there can be any question about whether Cotch and Mitch should receive a Brownlow Medal is beyond me. They were the best eligible players of that year. It's taken a long time to get to the decision but it's pretty clear now.
They should arrange a big night at Crown with players and their families and anyone that wants to buy a ticket to the function, and award the medals to the two deserving winners. It makes me angry to hear anyone say the medal is tainted. IMO the medal will be in the right hands now as appossed to before.
It's pretty clear cut to me.

Sick and tired of the ongoing crying about how Watson deserves to keep it because he offered to give it back, that he hasn't been proven guilty of anything etc

Mitch arguably not the fairest player but he and Cotch deserve the medal. AFL just wants Watson and them to say it so they don't have to be accountable...

Would think that is more a personal thing than "important specifics about our football club"
