on two occasions tonight ellis was the only bloke prepared to put his head over over the ball and got penalised because his head made contact with an opponents legs who was too scared to put his head over the ball. The second time the north bloke actually pulled out of the contest.
combine that with the amount of times a bloke takes possession and is tackled straight away, only to penalised, and the mission to turn the game into one where the bloke who wants the ball the most is penalised, while the weak prick hanging back is rewarded, is almost complete.
success is within reach Andy, well done on stuffing the game completely.
gotta agree it makes the game almost unwatchable.
what poos me is all the yes men in the media. none of them have the balls to complain in fear of vlads wrath.. how anyone can think this new rule is good is beyond me.
we play a contact sport or we used to. there is always going to be injuries. you dont change rules that affects the fabric of the game. we have all played the game and we all know we could get hurt. some injuries just has to be looked at as something that can happen sometimes.
i have to ask how many blokes have had serious knee injuries over the last 10 yrs from blokes diving on the ball.
id say stupid rule changes in previous yrs has greatly contributed to what injuries have occured. instead of reviewing what has been done they just bring in another rule that peees every one off.
so its the dying minutes of a game and you throw yourself across the legs of a player in an attempt to smother a shot at goal whats the result a stuffin free kick. the bloody idiots have to leave the fabric of the game alone and just let most problems sort themselves out over time like they did for the first 100 yrs of the games existence.
