MELBOURNE coach Mark Neeld is set to face the club's board next Monday to discuss the Demons' woeful start to 2013.

His appearance comes amid speculation that the board will decide on his future at the meeting.

Exactly, the glare of Monday night footy taking the spotlight away from the hapless plight of the Range Rover and Volvo drivers footy club. :help

Melbourne president Don McLardy has forecast significant change at the club within weeks.

However, McLardy didn’t address the future of embattled coach Mark Neeld, who will make his monthly presentation to the Demons' board on Monday.

Speculation is rife that Neeld will be sacked at the meeting.

This was before they were flogged by 95 pts by the Hawks.

Looks like less than 24 hours now. :help
He looked very stressed in the box today. He knows his fate and today it showed. Very animated almost looked like tears were welling up just held it together really.
Bloke bought into a lemon footy club and his reputation is tattered as much as that footy club.

Can remember in 2009 when we were looking for a coach and the rumours were we were having a crack at Bucks, Eddie came out and said Mark Neeld will make a great coach one day and that we should go for him. Neeld was at the club for one year at that time.

What odds he takes up a role at Carlton under his old mentor in Mick Malthouse after the dust settles on his departure from Melbourne?

Seems like an assistant coach that just took that one career step too far.

Possibly, however Moses would have trouble getting something out of that Melbourne side

It's a hard thing to time but an assistant coach looking for a senior gig needs to judge and interview the potential club he's considering coaching as much as that club judges and interviews him. With Melbourne and St Kilda, it would've been and would be better off to pass and wait for a list and club that has already bottomed out and sorted out it's structural and financial issues and has a list you can take somewhere in 3-4 years time.
