« on: April 18, 2013, 08:29:03 PM »
It seems on the ABC's 7.30 Report this evening, has shown more of Danks' TXT messages and as a result the Dees have been "dragged into" the drugs scandal.

MELBOURNE has been dragged into the performance-enhancing drugs controversy that has engulfed Essendon with claims its players received injections from Stephen Dank.

..A series of texts messages between Melbourne club doctor Dan Bates and Dank, the man at the centre of the Bombers scandal, surfaced tonight.

The 7.30 Report, screened on ABC, showed the messages which outlined a supplements program orchestrated last pre-season.

Several Demon players were named in the messages.

Text messages reveal Dank involved with Demons
7.30 By Caro Meldrum-Hanna
Updated 10 minutes ago

The furore over the use of performance-enhancing supplements in football is bigger than first thought, with 7.30 revealing that the sport scientist at the centre of the Essendon scandal also had extensive dealings with the Melbourne Demons.

The AFL and the Essendon Football Club have been in damage control for the past two months since the story broke about supplements administered by controversial biochemist Steve Dank.

So far no other club has been tarnished by the scandal, but 7.30 has learned the Demons had a detailed supplements regime which it ran in close association with Dank.

In February, when the news broke about Essendon's supplements regime, the Demons quickly moved to quash rumours it had employed Dank over the summer.

HUN have updated their report not as big as the ABC's and it has a few of the "alleged text messages"

Melbourne has been dragged into the drugs scandal amid claims it received injections from Steve Dank
Staff writer From: Herald Sun April 18, 2013 7:58PM

MELBOURNE has been dragged into the performance-enhancing drugs controversy that has engulfed Essendon with claims its players received injections from Stephen Dank.

A series of texts messages spanning more than six months between Melbourne club doctor Dan Bates and Dank, the man at the centre of the Bombers scandal, surfaced tonight.

The 7.30 Report, screened on ABC, showed the messages which outlined a supplements program orchestrated last pre-season.

Several Demon players were named in the messages, including co-captain Jack Trengove.

Melbourne has emphatically denied any of its players have had contact with Dank. It also refuted claims the club employed Dank.

It is believed the Dees board met for an emergency meeting at the MCG tonight.

SOME OF THE ALLEGED TEXT MESSAGES:

Dank to Bates: "Meeting with Neil Craig next Tuesday or Wednesday. Spoke to Dave today."
Bates to Dank: "Great."

Dank to Bates: "When we will start Jack Trengove on the AOD?"

Bates to Dank: "Tomorrow"

Bates to Dank: "Where can I get him to pick it up from?"

Dank to Bates: "The pharmacy. Tell him to ring me and he can meet me there."

Bates to Dank: "...Lynden Dunn would like an injection on Thursday if possible (good about Dunny asking, as he is doing it because the other guys have said they feel good). Dan."

Dank to Bates: "Great. I will book him in."

Meltankdank  :cheers

 :lol

He's been a big success this Dank dick.
Essendon = failure
Melbourne = bigger failure.

If Richmond had anything to do with this Dank fellow I will warm up my microwave.
The club that keeps giving.

AFL not happy according to Barrett. The AFL spoke to Melbourne in February about this and the Demons denied it. The AFL is now seeking a further explanation from the Dees.

At least we know it wasn't performance enhancing  ;D
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

In a strange way this will take the focus off the Bombers.

Because the Dees originally said they had nothing to do with Dank and now these sordid little TXT messages prove otherwise. Bombers have said we "put our hands up,went to the AFL & ASADA"

Not excusing the Bombers stupidity but compared to the Dees and their strategy the Bombers are angels  ;D :rollin

It once again raises the question of how the media are getting hold of private text messages?
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

I would have thought the answer was obvious.

If Dank is going down he is aiming to take others down with him.
