Right now, the Pies are a side waiting to be beaten by a serious football side. Tiger players could learn something about how to hunt a side for 100 minutes.
Today's game showed the Bombres hunger, last Saturday showed a soft underbelly on a middle of the road side

100% correct.

They've beaten 2 teams regarded as top 4.
We can learn something from them "no doubt".
Soft footy won't win you finals.
If we don't lift our standard and get tough we will get our pants pulled down every time.

And this time last season they were flying - 8 and 1 after 9 rounds and equal top with a 10 goal win over the Eagles included.  Fast forward to Round 23 - 11th, 3 more wins in 14 games and a drop of 40%.  We have things to learn but Bummer Toughness is not one of them.

Finally a voice of reason  :clapping

Add a dash of drug cheat penalties including loss of points and you've hit the nail on the head

Id say we softened collingwood up, by gee they had to dig deep to win 1/4 of a game and get the points...they were ripe this week :shh

What I took out of today's game is the way their forwards lead up at the ball.. Didn't matter if it was Gumbleton or Davey.. Doing this does two things, it opens up the forwardline for other players and it also gives you more than just that kick down the line from half back which we seem to do when it starts getting hard. Thats why I wouldn't mind seeing A. Edwards get a game..
The other thing they did all day is keep the pill moving, from a free kick or mark, they just play on. What it does, it actually makes people upfield move and give you an option.
Hate to say it but the Bombers looked really good today.

According to some we were soft for 120 minutes last week BJ.

We were weak as pee apparently.

It was Collingwood's rigorous training regime that backfired today and Essendon's winning culture.

Funny they took down their 2013 slogan from Wanky Hill when the scandal broke "whatever it takes" yet after their

so far this season those flags and slogans are starting to reappear.

I guess when you have a winning culture that is how you win "whatever it takes"

essendon shouldnt be allowed to play this season. its a disgrace that they are allowed to compete. the afl should at the very least deduct points so they cant make the eight and they should also be penalised for next season as well. they should also lose their draft picks. they are scum.

Yep free flowing football but the double teaming of Cloke was pivotal in their win today, whilst we had Chaplan standing their on the outside while range went one on one.

Putting that aside, IMO this thread should be deleted I don't want to learn anything from this disgraceful organisation and their pathetic supporters.

Everything about this club makes me sick. The AFL are no better in their allowance that this organisation takes 4 pts away from honest hardworking clubs, like Pies, Tigers etc etc. these 4 pts cost us marketing, sponsorship $$ and potential finals appearances.

Our league will be in disarray very soon when the truth comes out, if its not already

Collingwood were ripe for the taking as the bummers showed today and the Dawks showed two weeks ago.
Problem is we tend to poo ourselves in big games playing soft unaccountable footy and wobbling about with huge heads after beating a bottom four team isn't the way we should've gone about it.
The whole team including the coach got a lesson against the pies, lets just hope we have learnt something because it won't be any easier in Perth.
If we go there trying to play that softie, limp wristed footy we will have our pants pulled down again.
Essenbum is a middle team like us, if they can win there them so can we. And everyone at the club should beleive it and want it.

Our jumper: Discipline, Awareness, Belief,  Desperate.
The club that keeps giving.

serously does anyone really think the bombers can maintain this level of play and intensity..I maybe wrong but i would imagine that they wont be able to keep this up for the season
why not some of us did point to their injury toll but hey they didnt get injuries last yr but we did lol.

just maybe all those injuries and being forced to play others has built some real depth.
they have done something twice in the last 4 yrs that we seem incapable of doing and thats make finals. so they have never been as bad as most tiger supporters make em out to be.
i have to ask if we copped essendons injury toll of last yr where do most think we would finish. i have no problem suggesting bottom 4.
