Poor kicking is poor football.

Exactly right, we deserved to lose but it would be interesting to know your take? Were we unlucky? You seemed to think we were lucky when we beat teams despite having more scoring shots so what does it mean now that it was us who kicked poorly?

In the current team who would you choose to kick for your life (yes extreme but just to highlight the issue)? Jack would I assume be most people's choice however our stocks of sharpshooters after him falls off dramatically (Lennon may have have shown a bit recently). In fact I would go as far as saying that apart from Titch and he is as we know missing from the side, we have no one player who would have any goalkicking skill above the range mediocre to average. The minute Jack is off with his kicking we basically have major issues converting from set shots. Can see why they over posess inside 50, we have to take a mark in the goal square just to ensure we can score.

Vickery when he is in form is usually a good set shot for goal.

Our goalkicking accuracy has dropped from 4th best last year to 16th (3rd worst) this year.

From set shots this season, the Tigers accuracy is 55.0 per cent (ranked 18th).

Last week and again yesterday easy shots missed:

Costly misses in front of goal killed Richmond's momentum

After being dominated for much of the second quarter, the Tigers had chances to really close the margin heading into the main break. Not long after midfielder Kane Lambert dribbled a brilliant goal through from the boundary, Jack Riewoldt hit the post with Richmond on fire heading into half-time. Moments later, Josh Jenkins would goal down the other end. Daniel Rioli is only playing his second game and should eventually become a very good player, but he will rue a miss from 35m out under relatively little pressure.

They should all watch old footage of Jack Dyer,s technique on regards to the right way to hold the ball for the kick and the angle of the drop.
as well as the run up.

When Short missed the early goal he was holding the ball for a torpedo punt and running on an arc.( schoolyard stuff)
