yeah and now apparently a pick 12 with 2 years experience is worth the same as a pick 3 once in a generation talent

yeah but many afl players are dumb as dog shyte

on pure football ability he is worth #1 and a good player

former #3 comming into his 5th season who is light years the best player in his draft pool with a unique talent set

as i said we might get nothing for him but on pure football ablity, age, dusty is worth #1 + patton, or #2 + hogan

Valid points, but if we do trade him I hardly think it will be for a pick that high up unfortunately.

I think the dees have reduced their interest so we are now best placed to be  bent over by GWS.

As al said the other day it might be a case of accepting the best offer and if that's Adams then so be it.

Don't think we are going to win out of this if clubs keep reducing their interest. Blues, Pies, Dogs, Dees have all said no.

Expect the Lions to also say no after Leppa fills them in so we are stuck with GWS.

might not be a bad result long term

if they bend us over we can whack them in the next 1-2-3 year poaching some highly talented kids from them paying what we think is a fair price... ie. nothing

itd be silly by them, the club with an unprecedented number of talented young players to pee us up long term as they come out of contract

i agree 100% bents but Adams for Dusty might be the outcome we end up with. Dees lack of interest, leppa joining lions are all factors that are now against us in trying to maximize our compensation.

Talk of Patton thrown in just wont happen.

Should get pick 9 plus Adams for Martin no problems.

which is one of the reasons why i believe he will not go to them through the PSD unless we are as stupid as essendon, st kilda and port adelaide have been in the past.

Spot on Al, free agency has changed the world a little.

I honestly don't think GWS give a poo about not wanting to anger Melbourne clubs. The ruthlessness they've displayed with trying to get the rules changed for the mini draft and keep O'Meara and the fact we went hard for Dom Tyson makes me think they wont give a toss about upsetting us. Hopefully he picks the Lions, they have the pick and players that want out to facilitate a fair deal

Exactly why would they give a crap, they will look after themselves for the immediate future

If they screw us over the Martin deal our supporters just refuse to attend GWS home games that will hurt their hip pocket big time.

More likely they screw us and the army comes in record numbers hoping to see us smash them and Martin

GWS stand to lose a lot more players due to the "go home" factor than Melbourne clubs.
I'd have thought it would be smart for them to trade with other clubs while they have the draft picks and establishing themselves or it will bite them on the backside later on.
Anyway, their list is lop sided, they really need to trade and improve the balance of experience and kids.
