AFL trade talk is saying he wants to go to Collingwood.

He doesn't want to go there he wants to go there cos they're the highest bidder. If we offererd the same coin as the poys he will come to us

Mrakov surely your not saying money is the overriding factor here....I mean players ,managers, journos, etc keep on telling us that money is not the main reason players contemplate  moving..And if you believe that please stand on your head

at the end of the day Richardson needs to get his head out of his arse and start getting some quality in and not these grigg hammer types

offer Adams or Shiels a neat 400k 4 year deal and watch them sign on the dotted line.

Leon loves us and would rather deal with us than the pies. Offer Grimes and the deal is done.

Seeming less and less likely. Shame, with this kid, reckon our premiership midfield would have just about been ready to go. Any idea how much we have left in our cap, i.e, could we come close to matching collingwood's bid?

I'm not disputing that he is not important but to get quality you have to give something up, and lets face it Edwards has SFA currency. Foley and Grigg have some. Grimes is the one for me to get one of these mids.

No point discussing it as the club hasn't got the gonads to even throw up anyone mentioned above.

Bents i want to win a flag not finish 6-10th and i believe we are still one short in the mid.

Are you saying we should pay overs for them?

think we've done that beofre and it's stuffed the Club big time. Would even go as far as to suggest that if we (read CC) didn't pay Dusty overs on his last contract we probably wouldn't have had the saga we've just gone through

But lets run with it and offer them a million plus over the next 4 years...

And in a couple of years time when these kids are still contracted and we have our next captain in Vlaustin (amongst others) coming out of contract dont complain if we have to part with some quality because we've paid overs again

Agree with you about Grigg but for reasons we will never understand he's been given another deal so let's move on from that.

And besides trade week hasn't even started so we don't know who the CLub intends to put up for trade  ;D

i see a difference in 50-75k between Grigg's income(approx 350k) and what will be enough to lure one of these 2.

Get Grigg out of his contract, sell him off or just leave him at the dingley tip, and use his money plus another 50k to lure one of these 2 on a 4 year deal.

Time to think outside the square and ask yourself what purpose does Grigg have in this football club and what value will one of these 2 bring in.

answer is pretty simple if you ask me.

If only it was that simple  ::)

I have said numerous times I would trade him, wouldn't have given him a new contract but they did

Facts are the only way he goes is if we trade him. That's the only way you get rid of his contract

And seeing they re-signed him only a coupe of months ago I reckon blind Freddie can see that he isn't going to be traded for kids like Adams or Shiel.

The only thing that would possibly get him traded is if GWS offered pick 1 for him and GWS aren't that stupid  ;D
