they are going through the same crap in the NFL

banned high contact so now the player with the ball ducks into the tackler drawing a flag

now thinking of banning contact on the legs because some guy got an injury  ::)

the defender will have a window of about 2ft in which to hit his opponent and all onus is on him to make the correct split second decision  if the guy with the ball changes position at the last moment  ::)

Yep get them used to it while they can't hit as hard while you can I reckon. Not many leg injuries in rugby but leg contact is permitted ::)

Can't tackle until U13s in Tassie juniors.

Miss Tucky already and he's playing Satdy night. ;D Personally would like to pick his brother up as a rookie.

Just on AFL360 showed vision of Tucky telling his teammates he was retiring

Confirmed he was moving to Adelaide  :thumbsup

Do you know how many kids he has? He has a son or two, yeah?

A 10 year AFL career from pick 73 in the 2003 draft after doing the hard yards heading over to West Adelaide after the Hawks cut him. On ya Tucky  :clapping.

In the end his lack of pace found him out so he's made the right call.

Bollocks

In the end his body succumbed to the constant battering it took from winning countless hard balls. From being first to the ball never giving quarter. Pace is for buffalo girls and tucky aint that.

The bloke is a warrior, but even the strongest of warriors will eventually succumb to father time and the attrition of battle.

Despite constantly being written off by many supporters and constantly getting shafted by dimma, he simply worked hard and fought his way into the side. Never complaining about the lot he was given, just get on with the job.

If he doesnt play next week it will be a travesty of the highest order, but you wont hear a bad word come from him. He embodies what a team sport is all about.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Would have to say that's probably the most accurate post you have made.

Couldn't agree more.

The Carlton game sadly showed he was finished. He was still able to win plenty of the hard ball but the Blues mids ran off and burnt him when he didn't have the footy. That's what I mean by his lack of pace found him out. It could be argued Dimma shafted him in 2010-11 when we needed a mature body to protect our then cubs but Tucky played every game last year (avg 26 disp.) and started this season in our best 22 before injuring his shoulder blade.

I would say Tucky announcing his retirement now means he knows Saturday night will be his final game.
