Carey who normally bags Richmond is actually tipping us  :o.

Beware the September specialists

Of all the matches from the first week of the finals, Richmond’s clash against Carlton should attract the largest crowd. Two old, fierce, rivals going toe-to-toe at the MCG in what will be a drought-breaking September appearance for the Tigers.

Consistency across four quarters has probably been the biggest issue for both of these sides and it’ll be the team who can maintain the rage, longest, who will prevail.

The Blues have the ability, but I think that the Tigers will get the result. They have earned the right to be playing on this stage and need to enjoy it as much as they can.

X-Factors: Tigers – Dustin Martin, Blues – Eddie Betts

From Damian Barrett's Sliding Doors column ....

Richmond

IF ............... the moment doesn't overawe the Tigers …

THEN ........... they will easily win this elimination final. But the moment, when it arrives, could be suffocating.

No Casboult is a big loss for the Blues in terms of their forward line structure.
