Hope we can bump this up a little, even to Carlton levels.
An extra $40 a member is an extra $2.5m.
Not going to get into a debate on whether membership prices should be increased. But an increase of $40 on a basic 11 gamer is around a 20% increase. If you do that to an 11 gamer how much do you increase the 16/17 gamers, or family memberships by?
And just a few points re the table:
1/ Clubs don't all charge the same price for a basic membership. Eg for memory we charged around $180 for an 11 game last season (no reserve seat), other clubs charged $190. there's a difference right there
2/ The figures for all clubs I would assume include coterie member numbers. Other clubs are way ahead of the RFC when it comes to Coterie numbers. If the RFC keeps growing these then your revenue per member automatically jumps
3/ Both Carton & the Bumbling's Home Gorund is Etihad and reserve seats are more expensive than the MCG. So, therefore depending on what margin they are charging on the reserve seat sales their revenues will be automatically higher (actually seems to apply to all Etihad residents except for N0rt)
4/ the figures in the table have made the same assumption I did re profit on membership sales and that is you can only take the info we have from the RFC's fin reports and come up with the number. There could be variables that we are not aware of. Unless the club declares a figure (and it isn't req'd to BTW) then the number is open to conjecture and debate.
Would love the club to actually declare the figure and end the conjecture
