There have been multiple clubs enquire about delisted Carlton defender Jeremy Laidler with an expectation there will be more interest in the next few weeks.

Sam Docherty continues to be linked with Carlton and the Western Bulldogs. Both clubs have been "very active" in pursuing the disgruntled Brisbane Lion with Petroro expecting things to play out in the "next day or two".

Daniel Cross will have to wait until late in the trade period to find out if he's to be thrown a lifeline by Melbourne.

It's becoming more likely that Jared Polec will end up at Port, but Adelaide are trying to work a 3-way trade with Collingwood involving Ricky Henderson to pip their rivals. The Pies are coy over trading their second round pick, as they have prioritised Jesse White ahead of Henderson.

Geelong are the latest team to forge interest in Jesse White, which could involve Travis Varcoe heading to the harbour city.

Sydney are reportedly interested in Geelong's Travis Varcoe according to the AFL website.

West Coast are showing a small amount of interest for Carlton midfielder Kane Lucas according to 3AW.

Peter Ryan says that Heath Shaw has made his preference Geelong but says "either way, Taylor Adams will be a Pie".

Emma Quayle is reporting in The Age that the Saints are almost certain to take delisted Free Agent Darren Jolly as insurance in their ruck department.

St Kilda are set to make a move on GWS Ruckman Jonathan Giles after parting ways with Ben McEvoy according to the Herald Sun.

It is always like this, once your team gets knocked out, you look forward to trade week and start dreaming up trades your team can make.

Then when it finally comes around, it drags on and on and on and nothing really happens.

It's even worse now that it's trade 3 weeks, instead of the old 1 week system.
And you may not think I care for you

Let's just have a 4 team competition with Swans, Hawks, Cats, Pies as that's the only place the decent players want to go.

Adelaide Crows midfielder Bernie Vince has met with Melbourne officials.

Heath Shaw's manager Ben Niall confirms to @traderadio that the Blues are interested. He confirmed Carlton is one of the clubs that has made an offer to Shaw.

St Kilda revealed it's interested in trading for the first pick in the draft. GWS saying no deal.

Billy Longer is looking at his options, and admits the Hawks took them by surprise when they brought in Ben McEvoy. Longer could still get to Hawthorn, but there is a possibility he may end up staying at the Brisbane Lions.

Stewart Crameri will get to the Western Bulldogs, but the trade 'could drag out'.

Xavier Ellis is confident in his body. Connors believes he could be the 'jewel in the crown' for a club this year. Ellis has had medicals at a couple of clubs including Fremantle.

Connors on Darren Jolly at Saints: He's got a relationship with Scott Watter, they've made an initial enquiry but it hasn't gone too far yet.

Dale Thomas's manager Paul Connors confirms that one doctor gave a diagnosis that his ankle would not be right until half way through season 2014. Thomas then saw other surgeons who gave him a better diagnosis that he would be ready for Round 1.

Scott Gumbleton will most likely not be at Essendon next season, he will be having medicals at a couple of clubs, one of which is Fremantle.

Carlton is set to secure Brisbane Lions young gun Sam Docherty as coach Michael Malthouse continues his aggressive list overhaul. The Blues want to exchange pick No.29 for the rebounding defender.

Carlton is believed to have missed out on former Cat Paul Chapman, who is closing on a deal to join former coach Mark Thompson at Essendon.

CEO Greg Swann was adamant Heath Shaw would not be a Blue next year.

Axed Collingwood ruckman Darren Jolly was tested by St Kilda's medicos yesterday.

Scott Gumbleton has passed a medical examination with Fremantle but could remain at the Bombers if Crameri departs.

Essendon and Fremantle have engaged in talks today, in a trade that would see Scott Gumbleton to Fremantle and Josh Mellington to the Bombers according to 3AW.

Jay Clarke says that Scott Gumbleton should be going to Dockers for pick 33, giving Freo the 25 year old centrepiece its forward line needs. Got big tick in medical.

Melbourne is targeting Adelaide youngster Jarryd Lyons, the 21-year-old Victorian who has played 12 games since making his debut in round five, 2012. Having met with 28-year-old Adelaide midfielder Bernie Vince on Friday, the Demons are also contemplating trying to attract the contracted Lyons.
