im with wat on this.
we have control of them as players we should not have control of their private lives.
really dont see the problem.
the club has done due diligence and warned all players of the traps that can befall anyone who associates with crims.
jake obviously knows what he is expected to do if a dodgy scenario is offered up.
he most certainly has the right to associate with who ever he likes as long as he himself does not allow that association to lead to him breaking the law.
instead of trying to be the model moral watchdog in all this, and trying desperately to be seen to be doing what the do gooders want, id say the clubs role and stance should be,
yes we have schooled all our players in the dangers of association with crims, but we feel our players are level headed enough to know when to pull out of any association that may land em in trouble. we certainly advocate the right of our players to choose who their friends are and to live their private lives as they themselves see fit, after all its their decision and no one elses.
the moment any one of our players is linked to corruption and proved to have done the wrong thing thru these associations they will be dismissed immediately.
to finish ultimately we all take responsibility for opur own actions. no one has the right to tell another person how they should live their life and who they should see.
its a freakin nanny state all right and at the root of it all is the freakin media.tell to get stuffed and mind their own business.
