It's going to be one of the lead stories on Ch 7 news tonight at 6pm. They've been advertising it all arvo as "Richmond's Jake King again linked to notorious bikie figures".

This just in - Queensland Govt and their constituents to bail out Holden. A first fleet of cars are planned that will drive exclusively in reverse.

Well WP, he has done nothing, that's it really for me.

As I said WAT not saying it's right or wrong just saying all players have been warned for obvious reasons.

I will leave this to the Club and back what ever decision they make

But I do agree with Benny; Jake needs to make better decisions, perception it's all about perception

WP, how would you feel if you knew someone for most of your life and because that person was stereotyped as a result of perception, you could not see them anymore, or your contact with them was controlled by others that really don not have a clue of your relationship with that person.

I can tell you its crap!!

Benny Gale on SEN

* Jake King went to the game with a group of friends not Toby Mitchell

* Mitchell was there too, they "bumped" into each other and said "hello" and the photo got takencolor]

* ake has known the Toby Mitchell and the Mitchell family for a very long time, it pre-dates his involvement at the RFC

* Club doesn't enforce rules as to who players can & cannot associate with but does give advice/counsel as to what is acceptable in a public forum

* Club (including Benny himself) has had a number of chats to Jake about his association with Mitchell

* Benny mentioned about associating with those who have criminal/underworld links and how it can be viewed and what it can lead to

* Unlikely to face suspension but will be talking to him again today

* Not disappointed in the HUN story

* But very disappointed in Jake, needs to make better choices, he is a public figure and when he is in public he represents the RFC

Enough said......get off his back!!!

Give him all the advise you want but in the end let him make his own choices!!!!

Good smoke screen for the public Benny!!!

Thanks for the report WP. :thumbsup

Interesting the bits you highlighted WAT

Would think the final one is the most important one IMHO

And BTW will add Benny didn't sound at all happy on the wireless this morning, sound very frustrated and disappointed

Of course he's not happy.
Jake's already been warned.
It's a bad look for the club.
Just dumb.
2015.

im with wat on this.
we have control of them as players we should not have control of their private lives.

really dont see the problem.
the club has done due diligence and warned all players of the traps that can befall anyone who associates with crims.
jake obviously knows what he is expected to do if a dodgy scenario is offered up.
he most certainly has the right to associate with who ever he likes as long as he himself does not allow that association to lead to him breaking the law.

instead of trying to be the model   moral watchdog in all this, and trying desperately to be seen to be doing what the do gooders want,   id say the clubs role and stance  should be,

yes we have schooled all our players in the dangers of association with crims, but we feel our players are level headed enough to know when to pull out of any association that may land em in trouble.  we certainly advocate the right of our players to choose who their friends are and to live their private lives as they themselves see fit, after all its their decision and no one elses.
the moment any one of our players is linked to corruption and proved to have done the wrong thing  thru these associations they will be dismissed immediately.

to finish ultimately we all take responsibility for opur own actions. no one has the right to tell another person how they should live their life and who they should see.

its a freakin nanny state all right and at the root of it all is the freakin media.tell to get stuffed and mind their own business.
