I went for Hawthorn based purely on the science that I can't bear the thought of those grubs Ballantyne and Crawley holding the cup. I detest that pair.

Hoping Freo wins so the Hawks don't end up with more flags than us  :P. Having said that I think Hawthorn will win. Last week getting that Geelong hoodoo off their back will give them heaps of confidence while Freo may have played their GF last week.

The Sun's out now but if it starts to rain again and the wind keeps it we'll see if the Hawks can play their precise kicking gamestyle in the wet. Being suspect in the wet has been one of the knocks on the Hawks.

Freo showing their nerves early. Making plenty of basic mistakes - shanking kicks and dropping simple marks.

Freo lucky to be just two goals down. The big stage got to them in that first quarter and they didn't take their chances. If the Hawks get the first couple of the 2nd qtr then it'll be hard for Freo to come back given the way they play.

The way Freo have choked on the big stage it's virtually game over. it will be if the Hawks kick the first after half-time. Freo played their GF last week and haven't turned up to play today. Bad kicking is bad footy. Gunston has taken all his chances whereas Fyfe has kicked a point and twice OOTF from three set shots, Pav has shanked two set shots, and as you say tiger101, Ballantyne had Walters wide open 15m out but ignored him and then missed anyway being a hog.
