- 3 games on ANZAC day. Arvo game Pies -v- bombers! the. To NZ Saints to play Brisbane, then over to Perth for Freo -v- N0rt

- Pies and Blues to play Sunday night in June

- no Good Friday footy

- pies -v- Freo to open season on the Friday night 14th march at Etihad

Collingwood mustve had a good season, they continue to get rewarded
As for north on anzac day, hopefully crowley takes boomers head off, or death by 1000 cuts

That means we play at least one of the bottom six from this year twice. Presumably it'll be the Suns given we play them in round 1. It's not really playing a bottom side though given they are on the rise  .

Top 6: Sydney twice; Haw, Freo, Geel, Port, Carl once

Middle 6: Essendon twice; Coll, Adel once; North, WC unknown.

Bottom 6: Bris, GC, WB, St K, Melb, GWS - play at least one of these twice.

AFL General Manager - Broadcasting, Scheduling and Major Projects Simon Lethlean said the first group of club byes were likely to be across rounds 8-10 (three weeks of six matches per round) with the second group of club byes to be placed in the run to the finals in the region of rounds 18-19 (one week of five matches and one week of four matches). All up, clubs would each play 22 games across 25 weeks through March 14-16 (week one of round one) to August 29-31.

Collingwood vs Fremantle (Etihad) - Fri. 14th
GWS Giants vs Sydney (Skoda) - Sat. 15th(?)
Gold Coast vs Richmond (Metricon) - Sat. 15th ........ At least we should be on FTA TV.
Carlton vs Port Adelaide (Etihad) - Sun. 16th

Geelong vs Adelaide (Simonds) - Thurs. 20th
North Melb. vs Essendon (Etihad) - Fri. 21st
Hawthorn vs Brisbane (Aurora) - Sat. 22nd
West Coast vs W.Bulldogs (Subiaco) - Sun. 23rd

That leaves Melbourne vs St Kilda (Etihad?).


So we have a 12 day break before facing the Blues at the 'G in round 2 on Thurs 27th.
