Pick 44.  Sydney - Alex Saunders

Sydney are adding to their midfield stocks with another high endurance, skillful mid.

Position: Small midfielder/defender/forward
Height: 180cm
Weight: 70kg
Born: 10/7/95
Home club: Gippsland Power

The half-forward/onballer has speed, is strong overhead, is an elite runner (he runs a 15 beep test) and has a beautiful kick. The indigenous product is also a strong tackler and made big impressions for both Gippsland in the TAC Cup and Vic Country at the National U18 Championships. Saunders has enormous talent and has made great strides in the past 12 months. Makes smart decisions with his disposal while rarely fumbling the ball at ground level. His excellent endurance was highlighted by his 13.4 beep test at the state combine.

Pick 45. Port Adelaide - Cameron Giles

Position: Tall defender
Height: 195cm
Weight: 93kg
Club: Woodville-West Torrens (SA)

AFL recruiters will like his rebound and speed out of the backline for a kid of his size. That height enables him to go toe-to-toe with key-position forwards as well as using his speed and agility to run off them. Playing at full-back for SA in the U18 Champs, Giles was pretty much able to keep some of the best key forwards in the carnival quiet. Port will be happy to pick up a home-grown key defender at this pick.

Pick 46 - Adelaide: MALCOLM KARPANY
Woodville - West Torrens
DOB: 1/6/95
Ht: 175cm
Wt: 74kgs

Mainly an outside mid with great literal movement, Malcolm was BOG in this Under 18's SANFL Grand Final. He is a natural footballer who is incredibly quick. Being a local lad was also taken in consideration, no go home factor here

After having lost the likes of Cripps, Fuller, Robertson, Thorp, Giles and Karpany to previous selections all players were being considered for this pick Norf is proud to select

Nicholas Burke 187cm and 76kgs. We think Nick will become a very good midfielder in time. At 187cm he has height for a midfielder and at 76kgs he only needs 2 preseasons to get himself to about84/85kgs, he has nice pace and he is a good mark. Nick spent a couple of weeks at Tigerland with Ben Lennon and rumours are the Tigers wanted to take Nicholas at their next pick.

Norf Melbourne will take no further selections in the fiasco of a phantom draft,  ;D

GWS - Selection #48 - Orazio Fantasia

Position:Small forward/midfielder
Height:176cm
Weight:65kg
Born:14/9/95
Home club:Norwood

GWS have snagged a ripper late pick with Orazio. We were shocked that he was still available at selection 48. We were after a quality small crumbing forward to feed off our tall forwards and we got him. He has excellent balance, good composure and he knows how to kick goals. Once he develops further, we could see him spending some time in the midfield as he has excellent awareness, good leg speed and finds his way through traffic without a problem.

Richmond - Selection #50  Dwayne Wilson

Position:Small defender/midfielder/forward
Height:179cm
Weight:74kg
Born:17/1/95
Home club:Sturt

We fill a list need with a player we have comfortably in the top 20 on skill alone. Dwayne is an electric talent that breaks lines, has elite footskills and can kick off both sides. His SANFL under 18 coach Brenton Phillips rates him as the most talented player in (this year's SA under-18) group on pure skill set. His knock is he can drift out of games so needs to work on staying involved longer in those periods when he doesn't have it on a string. This is directly related to his conditioning and work ethic so needs to work harder and get fitter something we feel will happen in an afl environment. Not a true crumbing fwd, more of a Danyle Pearce HF/wing type.

great pick up tm.  i tend to steer clear of smalls but if i was taking one it would be around pick 50 onwards and it would be wilson.
