Thompson won't play which means Warnock will get Jack. Ablett will be underdone as well.
cmon lets all turn a new leaf where we dont want to play sides with injury.  we want em all at full strength so there can be no excuses.
surely we are at a stage where we are either good enough or we arent i dont want to see any cracks papered over playing  and winning against injured sides.

As long as their preferred mode of transport isn't motorcycle then they should be ok.

Trying to come up with a likely round 1 side  :-\. Not easy. I would say there's 20 lock-ins with Hardwick favouring Thomas of all the rookies.

B:   Morris      Rance       Astbury
HB: Martin      Chaplin     Houli
C:   Ellis          Cotchin    Conca
HF: Newman    Riewoldt   S.Edwards
F:   Griffiths     Vickery    Lloyd?
R:   Hampson   Deledio   Thomas
Int: Grigg, Vlastuin, McDonough
Sub: Foley?

Emg: Petterd, Miles, A.Edwards

Small forward? Lloyd, King or Banfield.

Substitute? Foley, Petterd or Miles.

Injured: Maric, Jackson, Lennon.

Underdone: Grimes, Knights.

Overlooked: Dea, Batchelor, Helbig, McIntosh, McBean, Gordon, Elton, O'Hanlon, Stephenson, Arnot, Williams, Darrou.

Elton looked Good Friday May slot into Lloyd's spot, looked more impressive from mine.
Thomas has been impressive with his desire and hardness, can he take that onto the big stage?

Your rant in the other thread is quite ironic. Where did I go wishing injuries. Those injuries have happened and I posted them in here for people to read because you know they're kinda relevant.  :lol :lol

Here's the AFL website's guess at our round 1 team:

Your club's best 22

FACTORING in form, fitness and injury concerns, our writers select the best 22 your club can put on the field for round one of the 2014 premiership season.

Richmond

B: Steve Morris, Troy Chaplin, Dylan Grimes
HB: Dustin Martin, Alex Rance, Bachar Houli
C: Shaun Grigg, Trent Cotchin, Brandon Ellis
HF: Chris Knights, Jack Riewoldt, Brett Deledio
F: Ben Griffiths, Ty Vickery, Shane Edwards
FOLL: Shaun Hampson, Reece Conca, Dan Jackson
INT: Chris Newman, Nick Vlastuin, Nathan Foley
SUB: Matt Thomas

The absence of No.1 ruckman Ivan Maric (ankle) means recruit Shaun Hampson steps up to play the lead role. The door also opens for Ben Griffiths to come into the team as a tall forward who can offer ruck support. Dylan Grimes is the club's best option as a third tall defender, while Dustin Martin is named at half-back, where he was used effectively through the NAB Challenge. Forward Jake King and defender Ricky Petterd face a battle breaking into a strong line-up. Midfielder Thomas, however, has been impressive through the pre-season and could have done enough to earn a round one call-up.
