To be honest the GC should of beaten us by more.

I know Vickery just kicked a goal but if we are to take the next step we really need him to improve.

For him to improve we cannot/should not gift him games in the hope he will improve or fulfil the ability he supposedly has. Needs a kick up backside and if that means the VFl then just do it

His ruck work must be saving him from being dropped. Once Ivan is back it could give the chance to drop him if he hasn't lifted his game.

But he hardly went into the ruck tonight, so that's not an excuse for him.

He was shocking tonight

At least he led us in that tonight, being crap and pathetic. Showed everyone how that's done   :clapping :clapping

We went in too tall.

What happened to Miles and Lloyd as late inclusions?

Can we please start a collection to buy Houli, Rance and Chaplin some decent boots, never seen the same players fall over so often when contesting the ball. We lost tonight due to our poor handling, lack of run (GC were down two players) and our inability to take a contested mark. GC on the other hand kick long to a one on one and got easy goals. Think it was a selection error not having Lloyd in the side, had no real dangerous small forward,  GC rebounded way too easy. Back to the drawing board for Hardwick,  really need to look at our forward structure. Seems at the moment that even running into an open goal they are still looking for a handball option, just kick the bleeding thing!! :banghead

The question is why guys like Dea aren't taking his spot from him?
Development has always been a concern in the past but with the resources we have now we need to start showing consistent improvement in the youngsters. The jury is still out IMO.

Banfield was the perfect player for tonight's conditions however, they decided that Stephenson deserved the upgrade...why? massive blunder upgrading an old fossil like him when we need leg speed.

The Big O has probably been upgraded because they know we can't rely on Tyrone to offer anything in the ruck let alone up forward  ;D

Yep Ablett gets away with everything but he is the best player in the comp by far.
The whole GC Suns gameplan is basically give it to Gary, and it's almost impossible to stop.

oh cmon monksy. we didnt take the gme lightly please no excuses there arent any.
beaten by melb pre season  and now gcs  in the  season proper in a disgraceful performance.  if anyone still has any misgivings about how even the comp is, then those doubts should now be dispelled.
the 22 we fielded tonight will struggle to make the 8.

You can't possibly win a game if you're disposals are absolutely c r a p.
as well as contesting a ball in flight, 3 men up nobody down for most of the match, disgraceful. :banghead
Bingo!

Amateur hour out there tonight especially our play up forward both offensively with crap skill and (non-existent) defensive pressure. Soft as butter after hitting the front we allow easy counterattack goals out of our forward line  :banghead. Then add we had an extra man on the bench to rotate for most of the night and yet they still overrun us. Soft and lazy crap!  :banghead.

Well on Dea's case he's been injured, first game back today via the VFL
