BEN LENNONRICHMOND should begin to throw the house at young gun Ben Lennon in order to convince him to remain at the club.
That is the opinion of Western Bulldogs legend and Fox Footy analyst Brad Johnson, who says the Tigers would be starting to get concerned about the fact he is yet to re-sign.
“If I was at Richmond, I’d be starting to fight as hard as I could to make this deal happen,” he told Fox Footy’s Market Watch.
“Richmond is in a great position at the moment where they’re playing finals. His growth will continue with his own personal development.
“If he goes to Carlton, he’s not going to get anywhere near finals. He might get some games under his belt, but I think with where Richmond is at he’s going to be in that line-up.
“He could be the difference between Richmond jumping into the top four over the next two or three years, with his ability as a link-up player.”
Lennon, a former first-round draft pick, has played 16 games in two years with Richmond and was nominated for the Rising Star in 2015.
He is out of contract at season’s end and is yet to renew at Tigerland.
