Go and watch him live and see for yourself his improved work rate and willingness to run both ways. Improving every week, my belief is he needs to be played in the senior team for the rest of the year as he has class.
I will ask you then because you watch the seconds first hand....
is Lennon ahead of Ellis or Menedue in development?
has his exclusion from the senior team behind these two warranted?
The club that keeps giving.

Lennon should be playing. We need skill & class and he has it. Same goes for McDonough. Replace hacks like Hunt & Morris with them and we'll be a much better side for it.

There is no doubt Lennon has improved and is improving the defensive side of his game which was required however, he has still maintained his attacking nature. Has Ellis and MEnedue passed him this year? Maybe but they play different roles in the team. I see Lennon as a hard working high half forward moving into the future and someone who can take a great grab and finish. He is not lazy, far from it in fact, just learning how to become the best player he can be. The boy can play :clapping

Interesting to see how Lennon will stack up against some of these others in his draft

You forgot to mention Blair, found out last week that Blair heads up all aspects of recruiting, means (1) Jackson reports directly to Hartley and (2) and Hartley has significant say in who we draft  :o

Perhaps a good thing. Our last draft haul looks pretty fine.

Agree but what about the previous ones? Especially 2013 when we went mature rather than kids? That was all on Blair's recommendation  :snidegrin

Just on that at this stage it looks like it was a very poor draft from about pick 30.
Whilst Gordon and Lloyd haven't added much and we picked up a bunch of cheap offcuts, we did also pick up Anthony Miles.
Not like there have been a heap of diamond in the rough kids that have gone on to do much in the last compromised draft.

You really believe that? A bloke who has been there for 10 years plays second fiddle to Hartley.

They re both as bad as each other.

When are they going to produce 1 elite player outside the first round. I would love to know who holds them to account!

lmao. many make the opposite call on draft night.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Yes I do because it's what we got told last week at a coterie function. To borrow a line from a number of other posters on this forum it is FACT

You want to win a flag you need to pluck gems from high picks and rookies. See hawks/Swans/Cats. I am not saying everyone needs to come from the back end but bloody hell can he give us just one a grader

Haven't hit a rookie selection in years. Miles well kudos to Hartley there but FJ is as poor as you can get IMO. 10 years is a lot in 1 job with his numbers
