I'd prefer to watch footy with this kid playing than Grigg, Houli, Hampson and Hunt.

Going to cop it for this with some very predictable shots but eh, say what you want about skill but at least Hampson, Houli and Hunt (maybe Grigg it's hard to tell) actually try which at this point in time put them ahead of Lennon. You can't have people with no effort/intensity just plodding around the field.

Not defending Lennon's lack of work ethic and I concede Hunt, as shyte as he is, at least has a crack but I'd hardly hold up the other three as exemplars of effort & intensity....

Hamspon doesnt need effort, he's the best option .....

Every club needs an icon to look up to at training

You're right, especially re: Shaun "hands on hips" Hampson. Was comparing them to Lennon in my mind and automatically thought they were workhorses. Houli as poo scared as he usually is at least puts in effort

All the guys mentioned are plodders which will never improve or improve our side. At least playing a kid with huge upside that potentially needs to work a bit harder is the way to go for a side in our position?? The boy needs to be coached properly!.... I'm sorry but if a kid in his 4th year still has work rate issues, it's a coaching issue.
The used by date has well and truely expired on all those players mentioned at AFL level.

Whilst I whole heartedly agree i still get very confused why some supporters fly the flag for these type of players

Yep, I can't get my head around why people want to play kids who don't even try. Surely the bare minimum is to at least put in effort?

I get it.

Lennon has potential if he gets his poo together, however unlikely that I is. Hacks can't get you anywhere, regardless of effort.

You might as well play Lennon over hacks. Neither are ideal but at least one has upside.

Yes. It was pretty obvious. All I was waiting for was a reference to Port Adelaide... :whistle
