Saw Miles sit under a high ball on the weekend and didn't flinch when the inevitable crunch of players came from behind. Very happy about that. Can't teach that kind of courage. Lock him in for round 1

I'm hoping Miles is one of those Michael "how the hell did we miss him" Barlow types for other clubs in 6 months time
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

The guy has huge kahunas.  Something that many on the list don't have.

i know it will sound petty but that is silly.
barlow knocked the door down for yrs at state league, miles has had two yrs played just 3 games last yr and was on a list.
thats no knock on miles but in many ways it would have been easy to overlook miles.  he hardly smashed the door down and stormed into the room like barlow did and even then he was lucky to get a go. in that regard the club does deserve credit.

I wouldn't call getting selected at pick 8 in the rookie draft as smashing the door down and storming into the room ? More like sneaking in the back window.

wrong context barlow absolutely bashed the door down with performance and more or less said ffs what more do i need to do to be given some sort of a go.

miles well was already on a list just got delisted,  managed just 3 games, and had an ordinary 2013 for what ever reason. yet we did the homework on him and rookied him.

Miles smashed the door down at state level too. Differences between the 2 are, Miles was doing it while on an AFL list. And Miles was doing it in an inferior competition, which wasn't really his fault.
