10 goal loss will be acceptable.  :lol

Also, would have liked to have traded our 1st pick for Longer last year just to see reactions. 1 possession and 7 HO's  :lol

Yeh in fairness to him the weather probably halved his possession output. But probably added a few HO's due to the increased stoppages.  :shh

So that's ...

IN:  Petterd, Knights, Thomas, King, Conca, McDonough, Gordon, Arnot

OUT: Newman (knee), Lennon, Stephenson, McIntosh, McBean

--------------------------------------------------------------

Richmond has named an otherwise strong squad, including young midfielder Reece Conca, who has spent much of the pre-season in rehabilitation following hamstring surgery. Chris Knights, who missed the majority of 2013 with a serious knee injury, could also play his first game since round seven, 2013.

Mature-age recruit Nathan Gordon has also been selected to play his first game for the club.

Dylan Grimes (hamstring), Daniel Jackson (groin), Ivan Maric (ankle) and Chris Newman (knee) are all recovering from injury ahead of the club's round one clash against the Suns.

Star Tigers forward Jack Riewoldt will miss again with quad tightness as he prepares for the club's round one clash against Gold Coast on March 15.

Notable omissions for the Magpies were Nick Maxwell, Jarryd Blair and Dayne Beams.

No Darrou or Banfumbles yet? Are they injured?

That's a pretty strong squad this week for us..should be a marked improvement on field.

A lift in intensity from the last pathetic effort would be good.
But to go in with a full complement of interchange players this time would be a start. I can't understand what they were  experimenting with last time when they apparently went in two players down. If the "experiment" was to look slow, sluggish and second to the ball all night long, then it was a stunning success.
Last time I checked we won't be allowed to use 6 bench players against GC. May as well get players used to running out whole games under proper conditions.

But in the pre-season comp we were allowed to use 6 players, as were Melbourne who took full advantage of the rule. So the question remains, why put yourself at a disadvantage when you don't have to?

They've named Dane Swan though so to say I'm bracing myself for a raping. The tigers couldn't contain Pendlebury, Swan, and Cloke last time. Now that they have a 2nd target in Jesse White I'm a bit worried we're going to get schooled.

To simulate the main season, which actually means something?
