Our forwards are lazy & its as simple as that. Come down to Morwell & watch Dmac & Johnson play & run down players who have 20 metre head start that they have the power to tackle them the opponent goes off injured. That is the type of footballers we should have in that forward line. Cotchin does it & always puts his body on the line but when he is constantly giving 100% he has not much left to bring the player down unlike Martin who runs around as a receiver & does very little.

* Dusty non-free and Ablett free, when they said they would be be cracking down on ducking for frees hurts, but that didn't cost us the game.

Get on the Christian for Charlie if the umpiring last night was anything to go by.  He obviously spends a fair amount of time in the umpire's shower/toilet performing all manner of tricks.

The umpiring was crap just like last year.

yeah but we deserved to lose anyway. we played like a bunch of dicks.

So you never seen Martin, Cotchin, Edwards, Ellis, & others in the forward line  ::)
Absolutely correct Monkey. The forwards were not good but we never gave them a chance either by just bombing in. We didn't look on song from the start. Looked tired. slow and reactive. Maybe been in a heavy training load to we peak when we play the blues? I'n not really worried. I don't think we will be the only team embarrassed up there this year.

Its hard to deliver when theres no target. Jack and Vickery hide behind their man and don't come at the ball, instead they expect the ball carrier to be able to roost it a lazy 60 so they can run onto it.

On the few occasions we had an open fwd line I noticed our mids were able to deliver it quite well.

Stop making excuses for your lovechild dimma

Fair dinkum Dimma

Delivery into the F50 made it tough for Jack & Ty

If you playing from behind and giving your opponent a 2 metre start then then the delivery has absolutely nothing to with it  :banghead

That's true WP but our delivery was just as bad and when you combine the two it was no shock that we couldn't kick a goal to save our lives.

Put down to the fact we picked 3 KP talls in the forward line where the game was always going to be humid and sweaty. The delievery into the forward line was no worse than GC.

GC had numbers behind the ball and we bombed the ball into our FWD line all night and they had numbers back to rebound, if we picked 1 small forward in the line up maybe we could have crumbed some of the mess.

Also Vickery playing behind was pathetic. Both by Vickery and the kicker. If he's behind... kick it over his head.
lets not lose sight of the fact gcs had dixon, day and lynch in their forward line. were they too tall i dont think so ithey went in with bloody good structure.
we werent too tall, riewoldt vickery and griffiths as the ruck forward is ideal structure.  structurally we went into the game spot on. what was wrong is our talls just werent good enough.
humid conditions or not they should have had a field day and didnt give a yelp.

we did pick sml and medium sized forwards. s  edwards, mcdonough are sml forwards, petterd is a medium sized forward. did we play any of them forward for any sort of significant time.

Conca and Ellis are the naughty boys

Buy non mention pettard/houli/grigg

Why bring up the second tier mids and not the third

IMHO our delivery into our forward line was a thousand times worse than theirs.  Compound that with Vickery and Riewoldt playing like ass and it was no wonder we couldn't kick enough goals.  And like Claw said, their 3 key forwards had no problem handling the ball so there is no excuse apart from p-poor play by our guys.
