Rance's omission is huge. He is our best backman. I'm worried Henderson will towel us up now. I'm pleased to see King back in as he is a huge presence in the forwardline and creates goals through his aggression, pressure and uncompromising attack on the ball. I'm hoping the bigger ground suits our spread and helps players like Vickery and Griffiths.  :pray

Not very confident....God I hate Carlton  :banghead

I agree Rance being out of the side is a big loss. I am glad King is back in the side. Need people of character in the team. Thank god no more Eddy Betts but need to watch Gibbs. He killed us last year and will do it again if not taken care of. Given it is going to rain today would like to see them make a late change and bring in Biscuit. How Petterd survived stuns me. It shows weakness by the selection panel.

I'm pretty disappointed with these selections, but not really surprised. There were a lot worse than McDonough last week, but he gets scapegoated. Case in point: watch Dimma's dissection last week, and he refers to Grigg's "lack of defensive accountability" ( I am paraphrasing him word for word here.) It may only be one incident, but it's a quote which defines that particular squib.
Pet Turd is another one who just flabbergasts me. He brings absolutely NOTHING to the team, yet is an automatic selection every week. "Cameo" Vickery had better be on notice too. At the very least I'd expect Dimma to have told him that if he keeps playing from behind like he did last week he'll be running around in the 2's next week.
I'd really liked to have seen the likes of Lloyd and Gordon in the side.

the club should pay the fine and bring in Gordon. Its crap weather and we need an extra hard nut in the middle.

rancer out is huge. bugger...

Agree 100% with the a.edwards over pettard calls.

Foley - good opportunity to show hardwick he's a nuffer for cutting you from the final last year.

The fact that we lost last week has taken some of the excitement away, and it's basically all nerves now.

gee i hope we beat the scum ... cant handle another loss to these narks. My hand has only just recovered after belting the poo out of that seat at the end of last years elim final.

Wet weather hopefully turns it in our favor - i think we have a good record in the wet?  :pray

Probably an advantage for them. Hope we don't go in top heavy if it's belting down.
Anyhow , it's usually hacks like Duigan , Robinson and McLean who play their one good game for the year against us. We make 'em look like superstars.

My prediction for this match's "saved their best for Richmond" Carlton player is Garlett....will make amends for his misses last year.
