FINISHING dead set last is the way to go. Not in terms of getting the first pick in the national draft but getting the first pick in the PSD, and throwing the kitchen sink at Fyfe or someone of that quality and getting him for nothing.

l will ask my sauce  ;D if he has any intentions  :lol

The response from the Westerner is only in AFL Fantasy Football  ;D l gather that's that fantasy thing people play. l got no time for that poo but anything is possible when someone dangles a nice contact in front of you & promises you property  ;D

We currently sit 15th....my God, we are 11 positions out of where everyone thought we would be.

If we remain there we will get pick 4.... :pray

I would like to drop one more position and it's more than possible, pick 3... :clapping

Chance to bridge the % gap this week with a heavy loss and then have the Saints beat us at Etihad to leapfrog us. I reckon since they lost to Brissy in NZ they have put a circle around this game and have planned meticulously for it seeing it as their best chance to register a win.

Then a week later Brissy at the G. We could be 17th with a clash against GWS in August. Freefall. :help

Your probably right but it will stop the scum and the teams above us getting stronger with a top 3 pick!

Unfortunately the only place that makes a real difference is last (which I don't really want).

Why?

Because it gives the team finishing last a free swing at an uncontracted player through the PSD.

For example.  If we can offer Fyfe $900,000 a year and convince him to come (the hardest) we can make Freo bend over to minimal swaps because he can walk out for nothing and come to us.

Anything else but last doesn't have that power.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Not only that but having pick one offers a dilemma of using it as a powerful bargaining chip to attain a bona fide established player if given to the right club, ie Hawthorn with the Hodge/Croad deal. Might be able to use it on Adelaide for a Dangerfield looking to come back to Victoria possibly.
