:banghead

I'm sorry but that's why we lose. Only had to shut it down with 30 secs to go and force a stoppage or clearance to the boundary line and despite three times having first hands on the footy we allow the ball loose and cough up a soft goal  :banghead.

Half-time

Richmond    0.1    4.3-27
Geelong      3.3    7.8-50

Goals: Riewoldt, Deledio, Lloyd, Martin.

Here bloody here...

At least we showed a little then, Lids, Vlast and Conc's playing well.

Vlastuin has been fantastic as has Conca. Houli, Grigg, Newman & Chaplin really stand out as very ordinary players. Time to stand up in the second half as the players should be sick of letting the cats push them around...I know I am.

That 1/4 had a bit of everything. love the biff & Chaplin won't have to be dropped next week  ;D he will get rubbed.
They went from soft to hard & scored some goals. Maybe they will realize thats how to play football

eff me.. work so hard to get back into the contest and then we gift them their last 2 goals. so instead of going in at 1/2 time with our tails up 11 points down, we're still 4 goals down... eff me  :banghead

Conca and Floss have been brilliant, Lids, Jack & Ellis very good. Lloyd showing a touch of class when he gets near it.

That benny hill goal we gave them all started with Rance who played on and basically ran into trouble the gumby, quick handball to Astbury who was under the pump, turns it over and then Morris rthe silly prick spoils an easy mark for rance and then McDonough overruns the ball in the square. Absolute comedy capers.

and their goal just before 1/2 time with Houli squibbing it on the wing... :facepalm

ah well we gave our yelp.... for a second I felt this could be the game we can build from (even if we lose) but I now fully expect us to be deflated with those last couple of plays and to get overrun in the second half. Amazing thing momentum, can seize up with one or 2 moments of madness

Houli had to keep the ball in tight but like always pushes it out so the opposition can move it forward. Has no footy smarts at all.

Let's hope so Monk! We look a little more settled with Lids and Rance. We can play, we just need to put it together, maybe the beers talking

They simply put the pressure onto themselves. They handball 1 metre to a player who is covered. has happened too many times when a simple turn the other way & put it onto the boot long. They have given Geelong at least 4 goals  :banghead
Spot on.

It's always a backward 1m handball too to a teammate who is covered when everyone else has run forward. Not only is it a turnover but the opposition get a clear run forward in numbers with free men everywhere.

Squibing won't sit well with the rest of the group. Just hope Shewards don't get onto the ground & is forced to watch

Thats right we do have the players & they can play. They just need pumping up & beleive in themselves. When new players come into the side, it always takes time for them to settle in. We can't think Rance & lids are going to have big second half after missing so much footy but we can  :pray they do. l think l can watch this next half & know l will enjoy it cause they will have a go. Few beers & watch another upset  :thumbsup  :gotigers  :gotigers  :gotigers

Okay, let's see how we go after half-time. We have conceded the first goal in the 3rd qtr every game so far and usually softly within the first 2 minutes  ::). Let's see if history meekly repeats or we actually finally stand up for more than a quarter and get the momentum going our way again.

We're winning the clearances and lead the contested footy and look good when we go quick and direct forward but it's our Benny Hill moments :facepalm that screw us up when we do those pointless dicky little kicks and 1m nothing handballs and needlessly put ourselves under pressure.
