My two great loves- the RFC and Dewalt tools.
I'm a builder and a carpenter and Dewalt is the only thing I will buy. Very, very good stuff and the black and yellow make it even more appealing!
Think Tim the Tool man Taylor with his tools and that's me.
I seriously love my Dawalt tools!!

P.S. Anyone need a house built im your man... Discounts for Tiger supporters  :gotigers

I am with you , still love my Dewalt tools, pay for stuff that lasts.  Festool and Milwaukee are good but cost a mint.  Do we get a Dewalt discount?

Where I used to work we did a lot of power tool repairs and warranty jobs for an industrial abrasives joint and after pulling the guts of plenty of different brands apart I reckon Dewalt are certainly up there with the best. Personal preference I still reckon Panasonic and Hitachi are the absolute best but Dewalt certainly in there with Milwaukee.

Where I'm at now luckily we don't do power tools but if I'm working on my own on weekends I still get boobs ringing up and asking if I can fix their GNC or Ozito  :banghead

Gotta love ozito. you just consider it hiring a tool to do one job

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

A few weeks back had some guy calling to ask if I could change the brushes in his Ozito grinder. Told him that I'm surprised it lasted long enough for the brushes to wear out and even if I did have any it would be more expensive than just going down to Bunnings to buy another one  :lol

how funny is it they even give you a spare set of brushes with their drills?

You don't rate festool gear?
I tell you what I do for some of my gear, I get the odd bit from Aldi.  I got a disk / belt sander, it was a re-badged Scheppach cept it cost half as much.

Nearly anything German is good. I just left it off my list  ;D my trade is electric motors and with the exception of Weg (Brazilian) the German motors like ABB, Siemens and Flygt (pumps) wipe the floor with everything else. That goes with tools too but the Panasonic drills and impactors in our shop get abused and still go strong. Fond memories of Hitachi too. The japs know what they are doing as well.

I only once bought a heap of cheap soldering irons from Aldi. All I can say is never again  :lol they were melting the plastic handles and slow tripping the breaker   :lol
